I can only speak to my experience. I had to down-scope from WT, MIC HT, LUX to BADLANDS, HI, soft top early in ‘23 or, according to Ford, risk having my WT order cancelled. So I down-scoped. Within a few days I got a VIN and production date of 23 March. It only takes a day to assemble and test, After 10 or 11 weeks, and some help from my dealership who showed me the lot in Dearborn where my BL was being stored, called Ford customer “service” and talked to a clueless agent to find out what the holdup was, and told me “…at Ford quality is job ONE, and we won’t ship it until it is perfect”! Sounded to me like quality was job LAST. The day after my call I Ford notified me that my BL had shipped. I finally took possession 12 weeks after the production date. I still don’t know what the hold up was, or if this is normal. It should only take 3 weeks or so fo Ford to get shipment scheduled, dealer to recieive and 1-2 days to prepare for delivery.
