and I would like to support Goodyear but after having 2 punctured by gravel....
My first year of ownership I drove a lot of Utah BLM roads: well maintained, graded and firm. I could drive 50mph+ pretty comfortably. I had three gravel punctures. What I learned:

1) The OEM "Territories" are notorious rock grabbers. They fling plenty (hence, get good mudlaps! front and rear!), but they also grab and hold, which you and I, quietman, learned...

2) ...will work their way up into the ply and puncture. I had three such flats in about a week's time. on those BLM roads. Approaching Snake Valley, Juab County near Nevada line:

  • Ford Bronco Tire question 1769124581814-i3
3) I have heard, but I can't source, that this flaw self-corrects "eventually," but I don't know if we're talking 5,000 or 10,000 miles or what.

4) My three flats were in Utah and <5,000 miles, about a year's mostly pavement experience. I never had a tread puncture after, (I did lose one to a sidewall rip) but my off-roading after was New England: more weathered, rounded rocks at rock-crawling speeds, lots of mud, hard-pack dirt. Also, I always aired down going off-road.

I've posted a few times: I consider the Wrangler/Territory a very good all-around tire, ranking it "Very good" to "excellent" in almost every category. There are better mudders, quieter + smoother rides, more aggressive rock-crawlers, but every task you want superlative performance will cost you performance elsewhere. I got 53,000 miles on mine with 3-4/32 of tread cleat left when I swapped them off. And my off-road fun was sometimes very aggressive over demanding terrain.

Tire rack shows the Goodyear only on tire and not wrangler as other tire shops do? Not sure if this is accurate.

That’s the right tire.

It’s weird that tire track shows good year stamped twice on tire vs tire kingdom showing wrangler on tire. Same tire. The RT.

the lower picture is the “alternate tread” version without the Wrangler. That’s the correct tire for a 2025 Sasquatch.

A full set! I was already at 67k on the originals & had 2 flats back to back. Used that as a sign that I had put off replacing them for long enough.
I feel like it was a sign to try something other than the territories.. 🫤

Yeah we don’t have a discount tire around so it was either mavis, tire rack or the dealer.
For future reference, Tire Rack, Dunn Tire & Service, America's Tire, Suburban Tire and Auto are all Discount Tire Corp.

Oh yes! If 5 new tires are in the cards absolutely. Gotta love new tire day. (Insert recommendation for Kenda Klever RT KR601’s here).
