I was playing with the blacked out grill look yesterday:

Ford Bronco To Blackout or not to Blackout my Wildtrak grill IMG_5780

I looked at the letter covers from Ford, but I wasn't sure about the matte black that Ford sells on the glossy Wildtrak grill, and I didn't want to spend $110 to find out, so I ended up ordering some glossy black caps from Amazon for $25. Returnable or disposable if I don't like them.

Base grill is the best grill... I'd swap it out. That way you can swing back to stock if you change your mind as well.

I would think that I could pop off the letter caps if I don't like them.

I ordered some $25 white ones and intend to paint/plasti-coat them bronze for my EG Bronco. How is the fit and finish of the cheap overlay letter? Do they seem to attach pretty well or are they complete junk. Decided to go this route vs just pairing the og letters in the same manner to save having to remove/tape up the grill.

to your post I personally don’t care for the all blacked out look as I like the contrast of the white letters. But it doesn’t look bad.

I will post back when I get them this week.

I really like the look of the Raptor grill, but I have no need for the marker lights. Plus $600+ could be spent better ways on the Bronco. Now if I found a cheap Raptor grill like my cheap Raptor bumper, lights, and skid, I might experiment.

I used the glossy black letter overlays I got on Amazon and installed the LEDs from Bronco LED shop. The letter overlays were decent quality and I really like the look

Shadow black painted grille to match body and painted letters matte black for a little contrast.

Interesting. I like the look. I wondered if the glossy letters would be too shiny. I do like your matte letters too. If I am not sold on the glossy, I will probably order some matte letters next.

I installed the black ABS plastic covers then installed tuffskins overlay on them to match cactus grey. Looks amazing
