Top Speed of the 2.7 Bronco?

A little know fact is that the top speed governor limit is regulated by NASA, because too fast and the Goodyears will launch gravel into orbit


Seriously, I've had mine over 90, pretty much by accident because it drives so much better than my Jeep did and 90 in the Bronco feels like 60 in the Jeep, at best

So looking at what people have said, it sounds there is a variance in the exact number but just over 100 is a safe bet.

So aside from my curiosity, my 4yo boy judges vehicles almost exclusively on their top speed and asked how fast our new bronco goes. He looked at the speedo and said wow! That’s fast. I was sorry son, it can’t go that fast. So 101 huh?

yep 101 but only in Nebraska and Colorado (I have topped 90 in other states) There surely are ways to remove the limiter but not without negating warranty. If you need to travel faster than 101 I suggest you buy a Jaguar F-pace since I read on the internet (which makes it true) will go 178.

But at 101 in 4A no less the Bronco is as steady and tractable as if it were going 71.

But t runs steady at that in 10th and about 3400 rpm. With the right tires and no governor it could easliy do 125

109 aired down and in really soft dirt flats....

Great shots--and where is that mudflat? I had my BL/Sas at Bonneville last year, but there was recent moisture, and I didn't feel comfortable putting it to the test.

Getting to the thread issue, I did 105 on Utah State route 36, from Vernon to Tooele UT (35 miles) slowing down as traffic and development warranted, with my GY territories at about 36 psi. A good, well-paved two-lane, and I felt comfortable and safe. The Bronco may not be built for high speed, but she handles well in the 100 mph range.
