I just purchased a 2021 2.3l ,and I want to add more torque and hp ,any recommendations.i drive a mustang and I want similar feeling with the bronco .

You bought the wrong engine if you want it to be like a mustang.

Ford tune step one. Big improvement. You can install in 20 minutes.

You bought the wrong engine if you want it to be like a mustang.

Well, I guess if you are comparing it to the ecoboost mustang, you got the exact ~right~ engine.

But yeah, one of the available tunes is really the only option - there are a few aftermarket parts, but until they crack the ECM on it, not gonna get too much out of hardware until they can tweak the software to take advantage of it.

I guess the good news is that the 2.3 tends to be pretty receptive to tunes without much hardware required. Just can't tweak it nearly as much as the 2.7 right now.

Many 2.3 owners who have tuned with the Ford Performance ProCal unit are happy with the results. Know that your minimum octane requirements go from 87 to 93.

Feels a lot quicker than it actually is!!

at the time I need it something quick and I was on a tight budget .ik it’s not Gina be the same ,but something close to it ,it’s till cool,I wanna see what my options are .

No custom tuning for the 2.3 yet so you are pretty limited. The Ford Performance tune is pretty soft, but hey gains are gains.

The Mustang is WAY faster than my 2.7 Bronco even though I have the FP Tune and a cat-back exhaust... It's all power to weight ratio... The Mustang is 1000 lbs (or more) lighter than my 2 door Bronco.

My Bronco runs a mid-14 second 1/4 mile, the stock Ecoboost Mustang is in the bottom 13's. Any 2.3 Bronco will be significantly slower than the Mustang (even with the Ford Performance tune) until custom tunes become available.

So, no, the Bronco will never feel like the Mustang without some serious modifications.

The FP tune on the 2.3 seems to be more impressive than the 2.7 tune. So I think that along with a good exhaust will make noticeable difference.

I currently have the K&N intake, CVF Downpipe, Borla axleback, JB4 Piggyback tuner and throttle controller on mine. Makes a big difference. Have videos up on my channel of pretty much all the products.
The JB4 and the high flow downpipe will be your best bang for the buck.
