Oh damn! $459 for a set of 11 bits! I don't buy cheap tools! But that's a little much! I think I might have to go to the place where the Surgeon in training get's his tools!🤯
I think I paid 275ish on a sale deal. Still salty af

Oh great it's like JIS screws on Japanese motorcycles. Most people use Phillips and you get a lot of mangled screws.
I too learned about using the screwdriver in your Honda toolkit :D

Nice... good to know. was looking for common sizes of nuts/bolts/screws to help me build a mobile tool kit and found this thread.... gooooood to know. Have that set OP mentioned in my cart. Idk if my badlands high/lux pack comes with any tools so waiting until she's delivered to see.

Yeah the "bronco bolts" appear to be Torx+ but the bolts for the trim rings? Regular Torx... A bit maddening really.

So a mix of Torx and Torx+

Updated OP to reflect the mix.

Just an FYI for anyone planning on working on their bronco with the Torx bolts on it.

They are a mix of Torx and Torx PLUS. Torx PLUS is not the same as Torx even though they are the same size.

Take off your beauty rings with a T45 Torx bit and you risk stripping them at worst and frustration with the bit "camming out" at best.

Wheel trim rings are regular Torx. Bronco bolts are Torx+

I talked to TWO different auto parts stores. The individuals I talked to had never heard of Torx PLUS and assured me that Torx bits would work fine.

$24 to me is a cheap investment to make sure you have the right tools for the job: https://smile.amazon.com/Neiko-10086A-Tp8-Steel-Socket/dp/B004UC9WJE/

Apologize if this posts belongs somewhere else but I feel like it should be more prominently displayed if it is somewhere else.
I noticed an odd torx bolt on my turbo valve. I needed a female torx to fit into the bolt to loosen. I just gently used a wrench but never seen this "male torx" if u want to know what I'm talking about look at the charge pipe on the left side (2.7 unsure if 2.3 is same) you'll see.
