Was on the trails Sunday and got this message. Essentially - touchscreen high temperature, reduce cabin temperature. Touch screen still worked and the message went away before I did anything.

It was only 80 degrees and sun wasn't out yet. Slow rolling in 4low so plenty of heat from underneath. But I've been out in much hotter and had the sun right on the screen. Only thing I can think of was a glitch or the heat load from underneath was more than usual and heated up the dash components.

I got the same thing this past weekend while 4 wheeling. It has happened a few times before. I thought maybe someone mentioned a recall or we need to replace a sensor or something. I would like to know the answer as well.

No messages in my Bronco yet, but my screen has definitely been hot to the touch many times.
Could an automatic update be happening that lowers the allowable temperature for the warning message to kick in?
Jus thinkin. 🤔

I’ve been sitting around without driving for over a month with shattered toe bones. Will see about hot screen messages soon. 🤕

If you had recall 26S09 done, I’m willing to bet Ford added that message into the programming to prevent or warn people that the screen/APIM is going to overheat soon if it’s not cooled.

I got that once when I was blasting heat in the winter. Was blowing heat only from the face vents, set to HI and max blower level. I just blew some cold air for a bit and that made it go away, and have only blown hot air from the feet ever since if I need it.
