The 8" touchscreen my 2022 Big Bend intermittently started going black a couple of weeks ago. Now it boots up with the logo, then goes black all the time. Tried multiple soft resets, key cycle resets, pulled sync fuse, disconnected battery for an hour. Can't do a master reset because the screen is black and can't access the on-screen menu. I don't think it has been getting OTA updates because my ford.com Account>Vehicle Dashboard>Software Updates shows that it has been more than 90 days since the last update. Any suggestions?

I had the EXACT same issue come up a few weeks ago. I was hoping that it would be covered under the 26S09 safety recall. Nope.
I took it in and this is the wording put in on the repair resolution.

”PERFORM APIM GUIDED ROUTINE. APIM SOFTWARE UPDATE REQUIRED TO FURTHER DIAGNOSE. PERFORM APIM UPDATE. PERFORM GUIDED ROUTINE. ALL SOFTWARE AT CURRENT LEVEL. RESET APIM AND DISPLAY OPERATES AS DESIGNED.”

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. How much did this "repair resolution" cost?
