Towing a car on a dolly with a Bronco

Has anyone towed a vehicle on a dolly with a bronco? Just finished our trip to moab offrodeo and my son has found a project car he wants to haul home (kansas city). So my question is has anyone towed a vehicle on a car dolly 900 miles with a 2.3 bronco and and concerns or advice? The car being towed will be a 1983 RX7 minus the motor and transmission. So well under the listed limit of 3500lbs.

Should not be an issue as long as the tow dolly has surge brakes.

Should be fine, just check the tire straps on the tow dolly regularly they have a tendency to loosen especially on long trips.

EDIT::::: 972 miles later and I can say that the bronco towed very well. Did go with a full trailer over the dolly.

Can't believe Uhaul let you use a trailer, between the soft top on the Bronco and the dry weight of the trailer being 2250 lbs, that only leaves 1250 lbs for the car. My Uhaul rental place is a stickler about not exceeding the tow limit of the vehicle and about towing with a soft top. You must have got lucky where you rented it.
