Ive done some searching but cannot get a definitive answer. Does anyone know of a transmission skid that will work with the factory skids? Nothing fancy - just steel in my case. Appreciate the help.

The ASFIR one does but it's alluminum. Keep in mind they make two versions, one for Broncos with sway bar disconnect and one for without.

Im leaning toward the LOD. They advertise it works with the stock skids and it has good coverage. Glad to hear it is solid because there are only 3 point of attachment. I sent a PM to Oldhippie to see what he has. Thanks all.

You need to post more information about what options you have. Only certain skids work with certain options. I am of the opinion that its LOD or Talon based on which one fits with Talon being a thicker/better design.

If you plan to wheel over anything big: get the RCI cross-member skids and trans skid.

So the best clearance skid that covers the v6 rails is LOD. Lot of people like to get the v6 rail covers and a center skid but the single piece design of LOD is better for sliding over things. I also like the the LOD skid is tied into the V6 rails adding strength vs a lot of other designs. I wish the LOD skid was slightly thicker but no one has junked one yet here locally(I will only recommend skids I have seen used to do real wheeling).

LOL. I am too old and worry too much to do heavy rock crawling. I am just trying to get some rock protection for trail riding and very minor obstacles

I ordered last night, but the skid looks different than what you show there. Maybe just the perspective of the picture.
