Yup, I have noticed it has become a problem over the last couple weeks. Some times I have to turn the truck off completely wait a few seconds then try again to get it to connect. I also have the latest version of Sync 4, I believe.

Which firmware are you running.
After picking mine up, it worked flawlessly until the latest update. I disconnected the phone, restarted and reconnected. It worked again but every other time It will not connect. A restart of the truck solves it, but that's annoying.

Same issue here. Disconnects or just won’t connect at all.

I don’t use wireless because I don’t want it connecting automatically. And I sometimes have problems with it connecting even over USB.

Works well 90% of the time. There are some times when it will not connect, no matter what I do. A day or so later and it clears up. Assuming the head-end rebooting must clear up the issue.

Here's the fix. Keep a iPhone cable handy, if you get a disconnect or just doesn't connect (wirelessly) all you need to do is plug in the cable for a moment, once it finds and recognizes CarPlay you can pull it back out and it's connected. It's a glitz in the latest version of Sync.

Sometimes it won’t even connect for me with cable plugged in.

Same here. CarPlay connectivity has been finicky since I took delivery in Nov 2021. Will go through stages where it connects first time, every time. Then, a run where I’m always having to fiddle with it to get it to connect. 🤷‍♂️

Glad to hear it’s not just me. It is very frustrating and as Bronco owners haven’t they put us through enough.

Comparison, Android Auto wireless to Samsung phone works perfect about 99% of the time when first connecting. Occasionally skips the step of auto playing spotify after connecting and I have to click play, that happens maybe 10% of the time.

Same. It’s shitty. Frustrating when my Mazda CX-5 would always connect flawlessly. On top of this, since I got it until now Sync always operates on a delay. I turn the volume up….one second later the music gets louder.
