wow thats tough and harsh, why is that?

This is universal across all car brands/dealers. It has to do with export laws.

When I worked at dealer many years ago, we would get calls all the time from "out of town" buyers trying to buy a vehicle and get it shipped.

Essentially, they can buy it cheaper here, send it overseas, and flip it for a lot more.
