Two-Door Raptor

Newbe here. Two-Door WildTrak on order.

Question: is there a reason why Ford is not making a Two-Door Raptor? Is it a wheelbase issue? I was always told that the Two-Door is better for off-road because of the short wheelbase. Please educate me. I love the raptor, but I want a Two-Door, hence the WildTrak. Thanks, guys.

The two door is NOT universally better offroad, despite what the two door fan-bros constantly yammer on about. 4 doors are actually better in several offroad situations, and there's a reason so many people who really wheel their rigs are running 4 doors or stretched wheelbases. A 2 door is gonna be better in real tight areas, but its too short to have the stability needed to do what the Braptor is meant to do. A longer wheelbase is superior for steep climbs/drops and high speed running.

What he said and also a huge factor is the 4dr out sells the 2dr by a lot. Same reason the 4dr jeeps get a lot more features and models than the 2dr.

EH, neighbor won't even take his 2 door off-roading. I offered to pay for the flag, stickers and the day pass.. he just couldn't bare it. Ended up taking his 2 kids with mine in my "grocery" getter. Four door people know how to have a better time.

Yeah, understand... Some folks just don't get what a purpose built off roader is for.

This actually is very easy to accompish. And the parts bolt right in. In fact Im conviced you could buy a exporer short block ( inexpensive ) or long block, and and bolt your heads and the rest of the doodads right up. It would take some module tweaks to get the ezporer or linclon or Braptor OEM tune, but its very feasible with both forscan and FDRS when used together.

I ordered a 2-door because I hate how small and cramped the 4-door feels with the B-pillar jabbing your shoulder.

But, 2-door is not better off road. 2-door is better on switchback trails, and can be better for departure angles if you hit a steep climb.

Otherwise, 4-door with the longer wheelbase is better off-road, and especially if you are doing high speed desert running.
