TX. folks, who knows about personalized license plates question

I've had personal plates ever since I moved here to Texas 20 years ago. Mine are now grandfathered in at $40 on top of the registration fee ($70+) each year for a total with fees of around $114 (each vehicle).

I am going to be looking into changing the color of the plates when our Bronco arrives, from white (currently on a white Camaro) to black (to go on the Carbonized Grey Bronco). That'll make a nice change.

I did the 3 year layaway while I wait for my delivery in November so that's an option if you need one. Pretty inexpensive and budgetable if you're trying to decide.
Used my dad's nickname, we lost him on 7/31 to covid. He was just as excited about me getting the Bronco as I was, it's just unfortunate that choices were made that changed the trajectory for so many of us.
