I never would have guessed the manual seats would be so challenging. Not withstanding the utility for an off-road vehicle, I have lux and leather and the power seats really are excellent. Hope they can expand them to other trim levels in the future.

The back seat of a bronco is a whole different story. Its a torture chamber back there. Starts with the fact that you get 1" of recline.
I actually prefer the fabric seats, power with 2 memory integrated with mirrors would be normal haha cant stand the super cheap non perforated vinyland leather the designers should have looked at marine grade at least and true seat cooling becaue these get hot in summer with top down.

Im very tempted to drop the big $ on aftermarket with matching rear upholstry....

Hey Y'all!

I have a 2022 4dr Badlands Lux w/ MGV(Took delivery June 2022 and put 27k miles on it already). It has manual seat adjustments and I can get it to "comfortable enough" but on drives of 1hr+ I get pretty bad back pain. I did a 9hr straight drive and my back hurt for like 2 weeks afterwards 🤦

For comparison sake, I had a 2019 Mustang Bullitt before this and I could take it on 4hr+ drives with no pain.

I'm not an ergonomics expert, so I'm not quite sure what the source of this discomfort is. Has anyone else had a similar experience and a fix?

I'm open to the idea of replacing the whole seat, if that's what it takes 😂 I love my Bronco and would like to keep it for a very long time... But if I can't solve this, I might have to trade it for something else 😔
Honestly, I dont know what to say since the MGV seats are some of the comfiest seats ive been in.

Reviving this thread with a Floor Jackers question. Seems like the design changed a bit and from what install videos I can find on Youtube and wanted to see if people can tell if I've got them installed correctly.

I used both shims to get the most lift. Both the shims were tapered a bit so I sandwiched them to where there was a bit of a taper and put the higher end towards the footwell. Makes my knees much closer to the steering column and I think I want to drive a bit to see if I like it that way.

But anyway, the seat pin wasn't easy to get back into the hole. I feel like I got them lined back up properly and wanted to see if others who installed both shims on each leg can tell by the pics.

Yeah those do look totally different. I wonder why the change in design. I have no issues in either our Bronco or Ranger. Just adjust the steering wheel. You’ll appreciate the hamstring support.

Our two door Broncos are our preferred road trip vehicles because we love the manual seats so much.

Congrats on just adjusting the steering wheel and it being a perfect fit. I love that for youuuuu. Must be nice for it to be so perfect.

I didn’t post a pic of the shims they sent me though so I guess you’re commenting on the lift of the seat, which is what shims under the rails will do by design.

After not really getting a reply from folks that have installed these I emailed the company and got my answer.

Oh duh. That’s the cover.

No need to be a dick.

I’m a huge fan of the jackers. I’ve been touting their praises for years. Just wondering what they changed.

Would you be so kind to enlighten us on what they said?

Definitely check out Amazon or eBay for seat risers

Seat risers are good, definitely a better seating position. In the past, I bought a pair for my 3rd Gen 4Runner to improve the seating angle.

But Bronco seats don't hold you like so you feel secure, but they are comfortable, like you're sitting in a medium/large-size mesh ergonomic office chair, flatter. So closer to firm. IMO, I think it should conform to your butt more. I'm partial to 4Runner seats, as you feel like you're sitting in a baseball glove.

But in the Bronco, 2-hour drives are tiring–to a small degree, as you can feel the road. So the best fix I found was to put on large, thick wool seat covers that are easy to install.

I drove down from NYC to San Antone TX, 30.5 hours with my brother. (He said his sciatica never acted up!) I was thick, super comfy, even with heated seats! Like a pillowtop.

Now, 2-hour trips are as easy as driving a few minutes! This is the brand I bought on Amazon, but there are plenty of other brands! I def recommend it if you're looking for a more comfortable seat.
