Couldn't you just put the rear seat down and access it that way?
Not in every case. But its a problem for some individuals depending on setup.

Ive thought of this as just a simple idea too but i was ultimately wanting to prevent climbing back there to unlock it. Having a remote lever close to the front looks like an easy run and the parts total would be under 20$ it looks like.
Darn, I just stumbled on this problem. I'm building a drawer/cargo-leveler and was struggling with how to run power into the 30“ pull drawer without pinching the wires...

Only to realize that everything I would want to charge in there (jumper-pack, flashlights, etc) would be things I need when the truck is dead.

I guve another vote for aftermarket solutions!
