No, it's got Chinese running boards now.
If that is the case.... they may not be for the step defeat.... You can purchase those buttons for other purposes (on amazon).... Follow the wiring, only way to know.

Those are the drunk sensors that that other guy was talking about.

Try
P.O. installed a couple of push button switches in the center console, don't see to do anything now, any guesses what they used to control (powered steps maybe?)?

Call the sales rep to see if he will ask the previous owner.

Occam's razor.

They look like RSE over-ride switches . There are two of them . They are mounted one on each side for driver and passenger. RSE steps are expensive . It's a used vehicle . There are cheap steps on the vehicle now . The previous owner kept the expensive ones .

Sorry late to all the fun. My guess was going to be what you posted here.

Override switch for power steps when the doors are not on the Bronc.
So you can't have powered steps out all the time when doors are off? And you will take time for them to be manually extended before you jump out of the vehicle thst has no doors? Thinking nobody who removes their doors is going to wait on steps before exiting.

Had a Yukon with powered steps that due to mostly corrosion were stuck in the extended position and relays would click trying to retract until I pulled the fuse.

Take it apart and see if wires are connected to them?

It controls the invisible gun turret mounted to the MIC. The turret is only capable of targeting Wranglers and Gladiators.

As low as the RSE steps are when deployed it would not take but one rock or mud rut to tear them off if you left them down.

Damn hard to get in or out of my Bronco without them... 😆

I guess I am just old and a 30 inch step up is a little high for me.
Ford Bronco Used owner, what do y'all think these are for? hieght of running board

With steps deployed it is a bit more reasonable.

C'mon people, if it really were anything like James Bond's ride it would definitely have more than just two(2) buttons . . . . It'd look something like this:

Took a look and can't find any wiring but I did find the magnetic door sensors. These were certainly step switches.

My dad always said to never trust someone with an area rug in their garage…does it match the garage drapes?
