This will be my first Ford in a while. I have started a list of hacks that is 1 item long. What others exist? Hacks like on a Jeep where you can plug/unplug the seatbelt 3 times with the ignition on - engine off and disable the seatbelt dinging.

1. Plugging a load into the 120V outlet disables the auto stop/start
2.
3.

Or how about just pushing the disable button for the start stop.

It gets old really fast! Especially, when you forget and the first time it turns your engine off is the split second before the light turns green.
Have you driven a Ford with auto stop/start? I have a work truck that has it and it seems the moment you lift off the brake the engine is started again so I don't think there is any delay from moving from a stop that I've ever noticed. I just don't like the extra wear & tear on the starter as well as the heat build up in the turbos. YMMV

I doesn't "stay" pushed. (does it?)
It does until you turn the motor off, then the next time you start up need to push it again.

2017 F150 3.5L EcoBoost daily. My point was that it seems to do this the most often which can't be saving much fuel. There is a delay, but not much.

Much like some other enjoyable activities, if you have a random full stop just before you get the green light, your mojo takes a hit even if you start right up again.

In my Audi the auto stop/start is permanently disabled as long as the A/C is on. I just leave it on constantly and adjust the temperature with the temp control. Haven't had to even think about the auto stop/start for the last 2+ years

I read somewhere that somebody said you can plug one of those low drain led lights (night lite?) Into the power plug and it prevents the auto stop from kicking in.

Depends, for me it will become habit. When I had my Mustang, it was get in turn the car on hit the traction control button off, put into gear. Became second nature just to hit that button after starting the car.
