I joined this forum a while back so I could get all the information my dealership could not; well, I have my Outer Banks now and would like to do an easy test run. I was thinking of starting off in Uwharrie on the Moccasin Creek rd. It is a moderately used road which has many campsites for cars, some fishing areas near by., etc... easily looked up so you can make your own assessment.

What I am getting at is, does anyone want to break their bronco in also. I want to do the trail sooner than later; Feb or Mar.

thanks

John, the normally used roads in Uhwarrie that take you to the camp sites, etc. are just rough graveled roads. I've been passed by a Cadillac coming the other way in the past. Check out Wolf's Den for an easy run. Just a word of caution. If it has rained recently get ready to get some serious mud under your Bronco.

Thank you - well I change my statement then

Anyone interested in Wolf’s Den or any recommendations.

Wanted33 - is this a good pre-cursor to Hurricane Creek?

thanks

John, I'm a novice at off roading at best. So, anything over Wolf's Den would be a challenege for me. I'm definitely not ready for Dutch John. :) Here's a great source of info to help.

We usually stop by the El Dorado Trading post to pick up our day pass.

Wife and I went out back in November - it was her first time off-roading so I didn't get to do all the trails I had intended. But we hit up everything that didn't start with a D.

Badlands had no issues. There's only one section on Wolf's Den that may be an issue w/o lockers, but there's a bypass.

Another note, Wolf's Den is usually pretty easy. Although the last time I went in December 2020 right before the trails closed had some serious ruts. I was also in my XJ on 31's. Any bronco should be able to handle any trail minus those that start with d's with some careful driving.
