Last squit them with a layer of paint that I put on all bumpers and skids.

Seeing how you twisted those cross members are you looking to do a trans skid? I’ve searched and searched and settled on talons garage.

I'm thinking of making my own and attaching it to the cross member skids. I can attach it to the swaybar disconnect bolts. I'm honestly not worried about the transmission pan. It is pretty high up there and the disconnect and cross braces are close together. You'd need something small stump size to get up there. I'd be looking to keep it from hanging up more than anything.

I looked at this just now, wouldn't fit my model anyhow. I also want to go with something that has a bit more flow. this would hold in heat. Wheeling in hot humid summers here is very hot on the transmission. Reducing flow would increase that. I'm toying with the idea of some small diameter tube with DOM wall with plate on the center interior side. I drew a real quick crude sketch. yellow area being plate, blue area being tube.

Good point about heat and I’ll watch it, but have to wait till summer to test it. I do like your thinking with dom and plate. Will resort to your idea if it becomes a problem. Talons skid is for both engine models.

Very good points. That said I have seen 2 or 3 posters on this forum that have broken that plastic trans pan, even with it "up in there". Key word being plastic. PPE does make an aluminum pan. No need for a skid then.

Do you know if they had the factory front sway disconnect? That greatly reduces the opening. Not having that skid.

That is one point I do not know. I do not have the disco and there is lots of room in there. Point taken. (y)

Price is nice. My only concern would be the company being on another continent if there would be any issue with them.
