I assure you, this top would not be acceptable to me or my dealer. I would still finish the deal but only having it in writing that the top must be replaced with proper quality. 50+k for a vehicle and thinking this is acceptable? How about a scratched window, torn seat, runs in the paint? Is that acceptable? Hell no. And if Ford denied replacing, yep, i would walk away and get something else. Too much money to throw at junk workmanship for me.

100% agree with this. Makes me wonder how bad would the top have to be for it not to pass Ford’s post manufacturing inspection.

Commentary and videos like this from the community are invaluable, thank you, great video!

When I first learned that the gray color was being forced for the MIC top, I was not too impressed. In this video with those close up shots, however, I must admit that the color is actually decent, I think it works fine. So long as the top seals properly for moisture and wind, I can live with the small imperfections. My Bronco will probably be taking a beating with all the trips I am contemplating, I don't think anyone will notice thin edges on the roofline, IMO.

These hard top problems should not be happening. The bronco in the 1980's had no top problems. Jeep is not having top problems.
Makes me want the modular top just wish is was not so long before it is available.

I happened to be there 30 minutes after they arrived. Just stopped in to ask a question about mine, build date today. Gotta say OBX looks pretty good in person, and that carb grey is killer on the Bronco.
I wasn’t there long so I didn’t inspect the tops, I’m hoping mine won’t come in looking like that.

I'm with you, but I don't know what leverage we have.

Well I already have three open top 4x4s, so that's my leverage. And any top with delamination, warping or honeycomb showing through is a no go. I'm buying a new vehicle to NOT have aggravations. Now I'm glad for the beta testers.
