I saw a few items in Forscan related to this, but no luck on the execution. Has anyone been able to activate this? I have this feature on my Pilot and would love to have it on the Bronco.

Agree it would be nice. Mine has the feature to unlock by putting your hand into one of the handles and also lock by pushing the small button on the handle. That combination at least lets you keep the key in your pocket all the time (or purse or backpack). Having the extra security when you forget and walk away seems possible given the existing technology.

Funny, I thought my Bronco had this... I was leaving it unlocked for about a week after I got it... I read what sounded like that feature, maybe in the infotanment system menus? Maybe forscan? Obviously I misread it. 😂

Not going to happen. I too was bummed coming from a Mazda. What makes it even worse is that You have to train yourself not to put your fingers behind the handle when you're tapping the button or it unlocks itself.

A tip from another member here that made it easier was to pull on the rear door handle (4 door only) to make sure it is locked.

The 4dr doesn't have intelligent access on the tailgate? Woof. I use that a lot.

I left mine unlocked for a couple weeks before I figured out it wasn't locking behind me. 😬

After thinking about this for a while, perhaps it’s not such a great feature for an off-road vehicle. When on the trail ( I go solo), I’m continuously getting out of the vehicle to scout sections of the road ahead. I don’t need to complicate that with auto locking doors. When at the MALL, its not so hard to push either of the lock buttons on the door when exiting.

They do...my issue was that there was no way to verify rhe doors lock because the front doors and the tailgate all unlock when you grab the handle...so luckily on a 4 door the rear door handles can be used to verify.

So I get out, shut the door, touch the button and the pull on the rear driver handle...not as easy as my Mazda, but not too bad once you train yourself.

I follow. I usually just tap the tailgate handle and look for the taillight flash.
