I seriously doubt that. Them marking up dealer allocation units, demo units, trade ins, or anything on the lot... I don't bat at an eye at when they add crazy additional markups. They have the right to do that, and I support their right to do it. I won't fall for it myself, but I don't blame them for doing it. It's a business, and if someone bought it at that price who am I to say it was too much? That is why in the past 15 years I've never purchased off the lot. Every vehicle I've owned I've special ordered, negotiated the price, got it in writing, and never once paid over MSRP (most often it's been well below MSRP). That has always been negotiated and in writing before the order ever even hits the system I know exactly what I'll be paying and never once (so far) has a dealer renigged on the written agreement. Why wouldn't you? Because for every sale you make at a stupid ADM, there are 20 people who will never go to your dealership again for any reason. New car sales is only a small slice out of the dealer revenue pie.
I say kudos to them for selling these vehicles at whatever crazy ridiculous price the market can bear. I'll continue to negotiate custom orders for at or below MSRP so I don't have to deal with the other stuff.
