I just picked up my Bronco on Tuesday and I'm loving it so far. It's a Black Diamond 4-door in Cactus Grey.

But...Can anyone tell me what these are and why they are there?

This is in the back of the front wheelwell - one on each side.

And this is in the back trunk area.

Oh, and one more question. What is the significance of having the "R" red on the front of the Bronco?

Thanks for any help.

First pic: crash bars. Added protection in the event of a crash, but need removal if you go to 35" or larger tires.

Second pic: places to secure your tops wiring harness and washer fluid hose when you remove the top.

Have fun with your new Bronco!

Bottom picture is to plug in the rear window wiper and washer fluid for when you remove the top.

Top photo is "crash bars"...there to deflect the tire down and away from the cabin in the event of a frontal impact--on all trim levels except for those with Sasquatch.

The 2nd is the "Hard top prep kit" its to plug in the wiring harness and the washer fluid tube when you take off the hardtop and to hold the same if you have a soft top.

Top image is the removable crash bar that give you better articulation/more room for larger tires at the cost of worse crash test raiting.

Second image is the storage retention clip for the hard top power cable and washer hose for when you are running without the top on.

I think the red R is performance tune but don't actually know that one for certain.

Totally didn't notice your last question. The red R came from the "Bronco R", it's a specially built off road racer and people put the red R on their Bronco to honor that... IMO it's like putting a Cobra badge on a v6 mustang but to each their own lol

Sadly I thought this thread was going to be a noob calling out other noob's for never searching for answers and instead making new threads on every thought.

But I see today is not that day.

Answer to your question: it's a stripper pole for sloths.

Can you tell me what the three horizontal lines in the upper left of this site mean?

Yeah, the red "R' for Bronco racing program. Prototype trophy truck. I did the same. I've seen more retro script badges than trim badges, so I went this route.

Anyone who says there's no such thing as a stupid question probably doesn't know me.
