What are you buying instead of a Bronco?

I bought a 2020 Ranger.
There are too many hurdles jumped and deadlines that have been missed. Too much scrambling to cobble together existing Broncos.
Too much bait and switch.

I'm waiting a couple years for the dust to settle. My worry is these first year Broncos will not be at the quality that they should be at.

I'm a 2015 F-150 Lariat owner and a Day 3 WildTrak reservation holder but with the inability to choose a top and color of top of my choice, power seats with cloth interior, no cooled seat option, late availability of the slide out tailgate, the lamest choice of exterior colors EVER(5-Black/Grays, 2-Blues, 2-Reds, White and a PUKE Yellow) and no chance to even sit in or see a Bronco "in the flesh" before ordering one I'm set on a 2021 F-150 Tremor now. If I'm going to have to wait till 2022 for what I want in a Bronco, I might as well get the Off-Road capability of it along with the towing capacity and roominess of the F-150. I may even opt for the PowerBoost engine, something not even offered yet in the Bronco. I've owned a 1980, 84 and 87 Bronco and LOVED the spacious room. I'm sure I'd be frustrated with the new offering. Glad Ford botched the rollout as it gave me time to come to my senses.

I cancelled today after placing an order for a 2021 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. The price differential with the Bronco is giving me 37s and beadlock wheels. Still trying to figure out which 3.5" lift to throw on.

I was in on a basesquatch or base 4 door but with all the changes I’m out and going to get a Tacoma TRD for less, I would’ve stuck it out but the price changes in the middle of the night kind made me leery of pre ordering a bronco, an announcement would’ve been nice

I’m thinking of trading my 11 STi for a 2020 STi while I wait for the 2DR Basemansquatch which will likely be another 18 months wait, but more than likely will still get a Bronco. There isn’t anything else besides Wrangler that fits the topless, doorless manual 4x4.

Well, I'm not out yet, but Ford prioritizing the "Bronco" that nobody asked for over the real Bronco caused most of what we are complaining about.

So, this is the vehicle I would get if I jump ship.

I'm a Day 1 Reservation holder and been following the Bronco forever and for the last 2 years on a regular basis with the leaks and the spy shots but honestly since Ford added almost $9k to the Base manual Sasquatch and a 12 months delay, I've been looking for other choices close to the $39k mark. In the last 2 days I found that Jeep is having an Employee Discount Pricing until 01-04-2021 and you can get a Gladiator Sport Manual for $31k, $1k more than a base manual Bronco. A Willy Sport Gladiator on 32" with a Diesel 3.0 for under $39k($37 if you get the Sport). Ford wants to Charge $7k to add 2 more doors and 9k for Sasquatch. That is Ridiculous! FOR 7k more than the price of a Base 2 door Bronco you can get 4 Doors, a 4'x5' Bed, and a 3.0 Ecodiesel 29mpg engine. That is an Excellent Deal. I'm going for that. I'm sure the Bronco will be nice when it's out, but Ford F'd it up for me.

4x4, factory 32s, heated leather, Coyote. Oh, and a color-matched top . And it cost me less than $6k. With the price difference between this and a comparable Bronco, I could buy...a Bronco?

This overplayed joke is getting a little annoying. Take into consideration for a second that every person that cancels makes your community smaller. I don't want myself or others to cancel but Ford is screwing this up.

An actual order does not need to be placed until the end of March, so there is time, through decisive action for Ford to turn things around. Fix the B&P. Finalize pricing. Fix the interiors. Be honest about next steps, timing, delivery estimates, build order. Give us (Texas) an opportunity to physically see and sit in a Bronco ahead of the final day to order.

I'll hang onto my reservation and hope the Ford project team will set a new course and restore my confidence in purchasing a first year vehicle.

The Explorer launch and now the F150 production issues are all signs that Ford is struggling. I'd like to see them succeed, I really do. But I am not going to hand over $50K+ for a first year vehicle to a company that appears to be struggling on several fronts. Time is on my side and I can wait and there are many other choices beyond the blue oval.

I am looking at Toyota now and have even gone back to looking at buying my first P car. I considered purchasing a 2021 F150 Platinum - it would be my 5th lifetime F150 purchase, but have decided to look at other brands.

Ford - make a new plan, reset the milestones and communicate to your customers even if the new plan does not resemble everything you've told us up to this point.

I'll update my purchase decision in 60 days.

We ended up getting a new Porsche Macan a couple of weeks ago, i didn't want to wait a year or more for the Bronco-and with all of the uncertain items popping up-and unkowns we did not feel like waiting it out-once they work some bugs out-we may be back in the Bronco camp-keeping our reservation though-just in case they sell for over MSRP

I usually get hammered drunk at Barrett Jackson at Mohegan Sun casino every yr. Hunting for EBs and cars with a bird on the hood and T tops. So if Barrett Jackson is on for 2021, and I'm drunk enough at the roulette table, and the stars align. I will buy something dumb. If not it will be a new bronco
