Did a little charging station project in the rear. My small battery pack fits perfect there. I'm going to hard wire it into power and free up the 12v plug. Then just turn on the battery pack when I need juice. I have 2 4 foot braided cables running behind the panels out to my fold down table. So can charge up to 6 different devices at once (USB-C, Micro-USB, Lightening). Going to get some adhesive clips to mount to the door panel and clip the cables into when not in use.

I also tested out my fan with a strip of velcro (I love having the roof like that). I could get a little velcro strap and tuck in the excess wire. But I figure when sleeping in it I can get a little air flow.

I took my roof rack off yesterday. It was not nearly as simple as the owner's manual makes it out to be. It would definitely help to have another person with you, as the rear latches on the opposite side kept falling back down every time I tried to release them.

I feel your pain with the roof rack. It world definitely help with 2 people. I am just leaving the rack off for the summer so its easier to remove the top quickly Do you still have the 91-94 explorer in your avatar? Looks Bad ass!

I took my roof rack off for noise reduction and to improve fuel economy. I plan to get a canoe to throw on top but for now I don't have any real need for the roof rack. Still, it is cheaper to get one from the factory than to buy an aftermarket one or the Ford one as an accessory.

It's a 1992 Explorer, I still have it. I know in my head that I should probably sell it or part it out but in my heart I just can't do it.

Put on an Amazon cheapo lightbar from Ridgidhorse. I am pleasantly surprised. Works great and is super bright. I paid more for the mounting bracket kit than i did the light bar.

Did the American Adventure Lab Molle door panels. Had them painted Antimatter Blue to match. Subtle but has a nice metal flake in the right light.

I've had great luck with cheap Amazon LEDs, Yitamotor specifically.
