I upgraded to a MRT axle back, but now my huge stock muffler is sitting in my garage taking up space. Is it just scrap or is there something to do with it? I wouldn’t see much of a market for it.. thanks for any input.

I swapped my factory exhaust to a BORLA cat-back on my Grand Cherokee, and I had zero issue selling my stock one on Marketplace or Craig’s List.

I suspect the same for the Bronco, but it may take longer/sell for less due to the limited number of vehicles on the road.

Thanks, I guess it is worth a shot to try to sell it.

Honestly, even if you get $100 that’s better than throwing it out/recycling it. Maybe inquire with Ford how much a new one goes for, then mark your price accordingly. That’ll be a good reference point though.

And if you have the room in your garage to store it for a bit :)

Back in the day in the Buell Motorcycle community, there was a guy who would take your stock muffler, in trade, and sell you a modified version. His design was one of the most improved for milking equal HP, Tq, & sound, everyone lined up to get one of these. Pretty sure he retired from the business, but the idea of gutting and refabricating baffles could prove just as useful, of someone within the community were so inclined.
I understand these are significantly cumbersome compared to the aftermarket option. But some folks prefer the DIY route.
Just a thought.

Slightly off-topic, but how are you liking the MRT? Exhaust is next on my list and I'm looking at Borla but it's more than twice the cost of the MRT.

In my neighborhood, just put it on the curb and it won't last an hour. Scrappers

But I'm all for getting things to people that can use them. Give it a second life. I guarantee someone will smash theirs on a trail or something

Will be upgrading to the Fast Intentions Axle back because it has the best results on the market. Then tossing the OE Muffler once my Bronco arrives.

I am very happy with my choice! I actually picked it up on here from a guy for $400. I have seen plenty of guys (actually more wives) that think it is too loud, but it isn’t really that loud in comparison to other ones that I have seen. Also way better clearance.

Keep in mind, I’m a dad in my 40’s, I didn’t want something super loud.

Tossed it up in the rafters of my garage, next to the DPF from my super duty.
