I saw what the inside of these stock mufflers look like elsewhere on B6G;

WhoTF would put a moving part inside a muffler?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I am convinced that these car manufacturers are hiring engineers with tons of degrees out of Mumbai who's only hot rodding experience is with Cushman three wheelers!!!
Anyways, I am not springing for an exhaust right now, but I damn sure don't want my flapper valve corroding shut...WTF?!?
I forgot to get a stock video, but here's one sans muffler;
Plasma cutter has dirt dobber parts in the air intake, so I had to use the die grinder with a radiac wheel, and I shoulda scrutinized the pictures from that other thread better...
Sawzall went most of the way thru the flapper, bigass cold chisel and a hammer did the rest.

Hey Sparky! Your welds suck!!!
Yeah, but when the welder's been stuck in the back of the garage for two years, and you forgot you installed a 30A circuit to run it, so the wire feed don't bog down when you're running it with a 30ft extension cord, well, excuses, excuses.
There's really not a whole helluva lot of difference with that COS (Chunk 'o Shit) flapper removed, but it gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.
Ya'll's mileage will vary...
