My grandmother custom ordered it brand new when she was 88 years old, paid for it in cash which none of us had any clue she had.
She died at 99 in 2017 and left everything to my mother, and my parents already had a reliable car, so when my Pathfinder literally crapped out on the side of the road in 2019 my mom just gave me the Buick... with a whopping 33k miles on it.
It was the ultimate old lady car... silver, gray cloth interior (she custom ordered it with a bench seat and a column shifter, and the seats were that velour type material, which I had no idea you could still even get.)
It made it 3 years of my daily driving, the problem up to that point was that it hadn't been driven enough, it suffered from all the problems of cars that just sit.
I was bummed to get rid of it, just because of the odd sentimentality of it, and I thought about keeping it as my winter beater, but it just needed too much nickle and dime work to be worth it.

My daughter was similarly upset when my wife sold her Honda Odyssey. The replacement vehicle (23 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy) was MUCH nicer than the van....but the van was where she rode all her life, to include 2 years in South Korea. Hell...my wife, despite driving a much nicer vehicle, still felt attached and emotional getting rid of the van. I wasn't sad. LOL
I’m ready to listen to my family whine about how the Sienna is better over the wind/ road noise. I’ll remind them each time we go somewhere the van could never

Not fully replacing, but Bronco is my camping, backpacking, wheeling rig. Still have mad love for my tuned Audi S5 dadmobile putting out about 520 horse and 600 foot pounds of torque on E85. A bit of a sleeper, love em both!

2022 Ram 1500 was sold to early while it had more value and to save on monthly payments while I started the ordering process for my 24 Bronco. Been driving a very low mileage 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport we bought to teach my son how to drive. That will be his car once he gets his license.
My son is 12….so I need to start the plan to pay the bronco off and wife is next in line for new car. Son will start with a ‘12 Camry….our family “sports car”

Ahhhhh the Buick!

“that’s not a Buick”

I can relate with the Buick.
My dad bought our family a new Buick LeSabre Wagon in 1980. It was a diesel we called Old Smokey (chugging black smoke up mtn passes to Tahoe). Drove for 200k and when unleaded became cheaper than diesel he put an unleaded engine into it…drove it for another 200k. When I got into high school he put its second gas engine into it, had it painted and reupholstered….so my high school hoopty was a cherry Buick Wagon. Pretty sure we got that thing airborne one night. Max capacity was 22 kids another night. I was heartbroken to learn he sold it to the guy be bought his Exprorer from. He loaned it to the guy for the weekend and that guy fell in love with it. I think he sold it to him

My dad later bought a new 06 or 07 Buick Ranier v8. He handed that down to me as our family car, dad wagon. It had a rapid demise at about 140k. Hauled off on a trailer in 2019. RIP Buick 2.

This Jeep, which was a replacement for my 03 Expy on 33" Falken's.

Bought this as a stop-gap between the Expy and the Arrival of the Bronco (Dealer said it could be many months before my 1st day res and order was actually built).
Painted it, crashed it, repaired it and painted it again, sold it for what I had in it as soon as I got the modules popping up on the Bronco showing it was almost time.

I love that paint! Looks like the color iridescence gives it a new color in every light situation.

2020 Gladiator 3.5” lift and 35’s. Traded it on the Bronco and got $1,100 less than I paid new with almost 60,000 miles. That was 9 months ago, now they can’t give Gladiators away
KING MOVE! Nice work on that trade.

Been there with a ‘10 Boxster S, Ill post the pic later. I learned manual, and that was it, boxster was ruined, I would have been happy with a ‘92 Civic hatch (forget the chassis code)

Manual or bust
Completely understand.
