No. What really sold me on the Bronco is it's high speed baja style offroading abilities. That's more the style off offroading I enjoy. With a solid front axel the wrangler will never be that, no matter what they put under the hood.

My wife works for car dealerships - they have like 5-6 brands, no Ford but they have Jeep. I'm still getting a Bronco.

If I ever get fed up with this wait, would just go back to getting a Defender 90 as I was planning to before the switch to Bronco.

I ain't there yet, but in any regards, I would NEVER EVER, NEVER buy a Wrangler; I just think it's trash and always have for several reasons.

If you like Wranglers, good for you. I find Toyotas to be flaccid so no 4 Runners or Tacos here either.

At least Landy has character and you can build out the new Defender to be a beast with or without air suspension.

Think Ford is down to the last couple of times left to piss me off, so I'm good for now.

Why is a solid axle used in the rear for all (that I can easily think of) production 4x4s? What's the point of using a solid axle at all?

I've never been interested in a truck or SUV very much. Always wanted sports cars etc. Bronco is the first thing to come along and made me rethink everything. My next vehicle will be a Bronco.

So a buddy of mine asked this hypothetical question, and I thought it would be interesting to post it here...

With the news of delays and whatever with the Bronco, if Jeep announced tomorrow an all new Wrangler that offered more than the Bronco and had an all new retro look like the Jeepster concept, AND it had a guaranteed delivery date, what would you do?
Stallantis from France is now in control of Jeep. Soonest you would see a revived Wrangler would be 2023

I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that I bought brand new. The AC was loud and not all that cold. I asked service about it several times. One service writer actually told me “they are all like this, its normal. It’s not a Toyota”. I kept that truck 18 months and dumped it at a loss. That was and will be my last Jeep product. Land Cruiser guy ever since until I saw the new Bronco. Time for some new technologies and I just love the design.

Does it still drive like a Jeep? If so, I’ll pass

I’m offended. I demand they change the name of Jeep to something else.
Did they actually change the name of the cherokee?
