I found this small rubber piece in my driver's side floorboard. It's about the size of dime. It's hard to see the profile from the picture because it was hard to hold and photograph at the same time, but it's definitely intended to push into a small hole to act as a bumper or pad. It had grease on it as well. There's no part number on the back.

looks like a stopper from glovebox or something that closes
Negative on the glovebox. There are similar plugs there, and both are in place. I checked the center console as well.

when I replaced my speakers, I had a few clips and screws fall out that seemed to just be dropped during build. It may not have a home. good luck.

Put it somewhere and then forget where you put it. I guarantee it’s location will be revealed approximately 1 week later.

Lol then you can call the dealership and pay for the part you have again but can’t find… don’t ask me how I know that!

Yep -- that's exactly it. Funny enough, that bolt/pivot point (HB1) was the only area under there that was obviously greased up so at least I had a clue. Appreciate your assistance.

So, could that have any effect on the "sproing!" sound I get from releasing the brake pedal? It sounds ridiculous.

I had the “sproing” sound upon releasing brake pedal for a long time … maybe a year? … but it seemed to stop months ago.
