What is this thing? (Solved exterior antenna cap)

Hi all, just picked up my Heritage yesterday and this was sitting in the passenger seat just chilling. The dealer didn't know what it was and I'm kinda at a loss. Any ideas?

Antenna cap/stub. From the factory, the antenna is not installed and just placed in the passenger cabin. Dealer prep will remove the antenna cap/stub and screw in the antenna.

If you never intend to use the radio requiring reception with the antenna, then you can put the cap/stub back in and ditch the antenna.

Dang, I was also wondering what that was doing in my Bronco, thought it was accidently left over from assembly.
