What to do…. Bronco 2021 or 2022

Hi guys,

so I placed my order in January and my reservation was in July of last year.
My build is:

black diamond
MIC
Tow
Mid package (nothing crazy)

I still have not received an email about my production date. Do I call my dealer or just keep waiting? If I still don’t receive something by the end of June is it almost worth switching to a 2022?

Everybody is in the same boat. Only a few people have had received their VIN's and estimated production dates. Your dealer won't have any extra information unfortunately.

Didn’t know that. That’s what I was wondering… if it’s pushed back because of that, I wonder if then I can change the color of the hard top. I’m tryin to catch up with all the issues/holdbacks.

From what my dealership just told me, yeah ... you'll likely already be getting a 2022. I just placed my order in last week and asked if I should wait until August and order a 2022 and they were like nope, you'll be getting a 2022 regardless...

what is your reservation date? 2DR or 4DR? 2.3 or 2.7?

Yeah you’re in the same boat as most of us. Plus the MIC and Tow def put you on hold as constraints.
Sit back and do some light reading here to get caught up. Otherwise the members here will answer any questions you have with some good info or rumors.

If you get pushed back to '22, you will have the opportunity to place a new order with your dealership when the '22 order banks open up. At that point you can change literally everything about your order.

Reservation was like 7/14 2020 and it’s a 4 door 2.3L

Who wants to bet that the painted modular top becomes late availability in 22? Webasto is making it and the MIC top and they can't make enough of them, so what happens when they have to build another flavor of top?

Can't believe that I was not pessimistic enough. Now the modular top is a 2023 model item.
