For NA V8's it's basically 3000RPM.
So, for the 2.3L & 2.7L, what's the Sweet Spot?

For the Bronco and any other vehicle with the 10 speed, pairing axle ratio and tire size doesn't matter as much as it used to. with 10 closely spaced gears, there will almost always be a correct gear for the job. Pairing the wrong axle ratio with a 4 speed and big tires was devastating not long ago. I've posted this info in another thread, but in 10th gear, with the 4.7 ratio, and with the 315's equals out to 2019rpm at 70mph. If you want the manual, we don't know it's ratios yet.I was thinking more like older V8's (289/302/351W/351C/400M/427/428/429/460).
Thanks for your response. Just wanted this information to assist me in determining which Tire Size & Gear Ratio to get.
By knowing the Sweet Spot and at what Speed you normally drive at, you can crunch the numbers to find a combination (Tire Size/Gear Ratio) that falls a little below the Sweet Spot. This "should" allow for best fuel economy and still have some torque available on reserve for hills and such (without downshifting).
Well... this is my thoughts on it. If anyone has a different thought about it, please post up, as I have been wrong before.
