Wheel Weight Broken?

A quick question. Does this look right? My other wheel weights look normal, but this one has me confused. Maybe it’s all the weight it needed, but I figured I would ask.

Is there a reason for going with the rim edge weights?

These days I always request the stick on variety "rectangle" weights, that stick to the inner surface of the wheel. Reason being they might be less likely to dislodge with a rock hit, and don't show as much.

It looks like that is just the clip part of the wheel weight with the actual heavy weight part missing. I doubt that it weighs enough to do any balancing.

These glued weights are available in several colors to match the color of the wheels.

The BD steelies have the weights on the outside. Not sure why. I guess to look like the old wheels.
