Where is everyone tapping into a geound for the rear aux wiring?

I feel stupid asking this as I should know better.
I am wiring some light into the interior through the rear aux switch wiring.
Where is everyone tapping into the ground? Just off the body or tapping into a existing ground wire?

Take one of the rear cargo panels off. There are grounds behind both.

I pulled the front off behind the passenger seat and found the orange and white wire. Was a little hesitant to take the whole panel off I didn’t want to break anything.
Does the whole panel pop off? I searched but couldn’t find any info on it.
