Where is hood sensor located? Bronco is saying the hood is ajar, and it is not.

Does anyone know where the hood sensor is? I was looking for your typical pop up and could not find it. My Bronco is saying the hood is ajar, and it is not.

Just saw a video on Ford Cars the switch is built into the hood latch on newer Fords, allegedly. Haven't looked at mine yet.

Hopefully, it’s just a faulty switch thing and that these hoods won’t go popping open onto the windshield.

It stopped doing it after 24 hours. When I took it by the dealership, they said that they would have to be able to repeat the issue.

Someone said they sprayed mass air flow cleaner on the sensor and it fixed the issue.

Nope...hood alarm goes off randomly every few weeks and they can see the electronic logs of that happening but they said they can't do duplicate and since there's no TSB they won't do anything about it... Even corporate said they have to go by what the dealer says. So I should try another dealer but it would be a 2 hour drive so I'm going to wait for a TSB I guess.

another alternative, order the new latch and install it yourself if ford won't do it

Or Google the GMs house, park it out front at night and leave it.
