Same here!ford stock yes but hardly paid for anything. but my SHIBA coin and tesla stock this week paid for my bronco.
How do you know F won't be a depreciating asset going forward? Hey Farley, where's the dividend? Are you hiding it with the quality Bronco tops?I hope no one sold F to buy a depreciating asset
I purchased constantly starting in 2019 when Farley was being primed to take over as CEO and Ford just killed all of their sedans. I thought it was a brilliant move financially speaking. I have one account where I purchase the stock every week, and my average cost is $8.22. On another account, my average cost is $5.87 where I bought at the bottom of the market when Covid just started.I would like to say congratulations to those of you who purchased in 1994. You've made it back above water!
Whenever people (not you) tell me about their stock purchases, usually gloating, I ask them if they have sold yet. They of course say "no". I tell them to get back to me when they've sold and then I might be jealous.I purchased constantly starting in 2019 when Farley was being primed to take over as CEO and Ford just killed all of their sedans. Of course you can cherry pick these all day, but over the last five years F is up 62% and the sp500 is up 134%.This "turd" is up over 125% within my portfolio. Of course, YMMV based on many factors
Yeah the Focus thing is admittedly a selfish ask. Iāve owned 4 different Escort/Focus vehicles over the years, and it is by far my favorite everyday vehicle. Was sad when they canceled it for the NA market. And even though the profit margins arenāt high I do still feel like they should of kept it. Itās a great starter vehicle for people just out of high school/college and helps build that brand loyalty. Plus it gives Ford a cheaper vehicle to sell people when gas prices jump. The Focus/Taurus had very small profit margins. Ford found it more beneficial to use the resources allocated to vehicles in a dyeing segment, to hasten the development of electric vehicles, and more profitable modules like the Maverick/Bronco sport.
Bought some at 6 and have been buying 200 a month for a while. My retirement fund is officially at $3400. More than enough for my type of funeral. Sure would be great if they did the dividend again.
Fordās board of directors voted to reinstate a regular quarterly dividend starting in Q4. The fourth-quarter dividend of 10 cents per share on outstanding common and Class B stock will be paid on Dec. 1 to shareholders of record at the close of business on Nov. 19.Have they gone back to issuing dividend yet? This was an EASY buy in March 2020
Gains made during a mismanaged economy are usually top heavy and often get eroded, replaced, or cashed out by the top. Guarantee to be a correction there. The question is will F follow suit or continue its tragectory because of sound buisness practices.Of course you can cherry pick these all day, but over the last five years F is up 62% and the sp500 is up 134%.
Edit- and nasdaq is up 238%
You can bet on whatever you want, but the broad stock market is my bet vs a company that exists in the no-margin, completely saturated auto market.Gains made during a mismanaged economy are usually top heavy and often get eroded, replaced, or cashed out by the top.
