Why do threads turn so salty so quickly?

I’ve noticed in the last week or so that posts are going south at a record pace. Is it the summer heat, got tensions turned up? People got beef with others on here it seems. Did someone cut you off at the off-roadeo and you feel like you have to take a dig at them every time you see their name pop up? Seriously, what’s up?
