With the Sasquatch package I’ll be happy if my 2.7 pulls 20mpg on the highway.

That is going to be a major downer for me. I have a huge tank in my truck. I hate stopping for gas.I have never really cared about MPG until I ordered a Bronco with a 17 gallon tank! Lol
I drove a diesel F250 when diesel went ridiculously high under a former admin. I just absorbed the costs. I didn't drive less. How am I supposed to drive less when I have to go to work to pay for this, anyway?Yeah, while The Squash is a nice look, the added cost to get it, the field economy hit (most annoying will be the range with the small fuel tank), tire replacement costs, on road driving dynamics, you know... the practical stuff, was enough to keep me on 33's. All that expense for just the small difference between where 33's aren't enough and the 35's aren't enough, I won't be pushing it harder then the 33's would work anyway. Hell, not putting the big dancing shoes on my Badlands will save enough to pay for a year's worth of fuel. When fuel gets relatively high again, Squatchers might not be driving around so much.
I hear you, it doesn't matter how much fuel costs, I have to have it. There will be less discretionary trips, especially if folks have a second vehicle they can use. I also (since day one) know that a fairly high number of people will trade these in almost new because they are rougher, harder to get into, and far less economical then they anticipated (if they thought that far in advance to anticipate at all). They will ditch these while still hot in the market, within 18 months I would guess. There are a lot of non-Wrangler buyers and it will be a bit of a shock. (My limited experience is in a JK, so I will be pleasantly surprised by the Bronco, lots of people won't.I drove a diesel F250 when diesel went ridiculously high under a former admin. Really? The 2liter combined is 23? You could get better than that out of a V8 in something that small. Not sure how this might translate to Bronco but i saw Bronco Sort window stickers at dealer today. Both are mannequin demo/loaners. Badlands (Iconic Silver looked good) with 2.0 eco boost/automatic combined 23 mpg. Outer Banks (Area 51 looked bluish) with 1.5 eco boost/automatic combined 26 mpg. Your mileage may vary.
Most likely 17-18mpg V6 SAS I’d bet. 2.3 with a 10spd will get around 23/24 tops. Now of course they’ll tell you city 20/hwy24 on 2.7 SAS. But they’re always fudging numbers. Actual mpg is no where near numbers they pump. With the Sasquatch package I’ll be happy if my 2.7 pulls 20mpg on the highway.
Yea but1, it’s NOT aerodynamic, it weighs 5000lbs, it’s 4wd, and it’s low gearing. Want to recalculate that number again?Really? The 2liter combined is 23? You could get better than that out of a V8 in something that small.
It weighs between 3,400-3,700 lbs, it’s gearing is not low nor would it need to be with 29” tires. Regardless you don’t often see gearing numbers for front drive vehicles. And it is fairly aerodynamic and extremely low to the ground.Yea but1, it’s NOT aerodynamic, it weighs 5000lbs, it’s 4wd, and it’s low gearing. Want to recalculate that number again?
Im def calling bs on your 5.3 4dr 4x4 getting 24-26. I have a 2014 Sierra 4dr 5.3 2wd and I get 17-19mpg hwy. if you’re truly getting that? You’re doing 45mph on a 70mph interstate. It weighs between 3,400-3,700 lbs, it’s gearing is not low nor would it need to be with 29” tires. If my 5.3L V8 4door 4x4 WT can get 24-26 consistently on the highway then I can’t imagine why this couldn’t do better.
In fact I bet a small displacement V8 with cylinder deactivation would be nearly 30MPG (Corvette MPG numbers)
You’re driving an LS based 5.3L, try an LT based where they actually designed the engine for CD and the engines have DI. Totally different engine designs.Im def calling bs on your 5.3 4dr 4x4 getting 24-26. I have a 2014 Sierra 4dr 5.3 2wd and I get 17-19mpg hwy. if you’re truly getting that?
