same, JKU for the wifey 3 yrs ago.. now it's my turn... I just told her... "I'm getting a Bronco Babe", and that was it. the babe part soften the blow and I'm in.. only problem will be finding the room in the garage to hoist up another hard top in the summer... looks like this one will be a little easier to manage though.

My wife doesn't even know about the reservation... not officially anyway. She probably saw the $100 charge by Ford and knew about the Bronco reveal that I was watching... so she may suspect it... but most likely not.

My plan is to keep her out of this until B&P is available. Once it is, she'll get to be part of this process.

Could not hold out any longer... told my wife today.

The good:
- She likes the Bronco (a lot) and is 100% in
- She likes the Badsquatch with Marine Grade Vinyl
- I don't have to sneak around anymore

The bad:
- She does not like Area 51 at all
- She only likes Iconic Silver and Carbonized Grey

The ugly:
- She knows about my account on this forum (I may have to behave now)

So probably like most of you, I've been bugging the heck out of my wife to help me decide on my bronco build/trim. So much that if I ask her 2 door or 4 door she replies 8. Lol

So like all of your wives, mine is fully aware of my obsession with the bronco (she was the one who made the sitting on the toilet meme above).

I went to show her the pictures from the rapid red 2 door BD Sasquatch thread. I worded it like this:

"Hey I finally found pictures of how exactly I want my bronco to look"

and BEFORE SHE EVEN LOOKED she asked:

"Is it 2 doors? Rapid Red? Sasquatch?"

Internally I'm like 'hell yeah it is!' but I keep it cool on the outside to keep up appearances of course.

She looks at the photos and goes:

"Oh that IS pretty good looking... We just might conceive our next child once you get that!" (For context: we have a 3 month old currently so trying for #2 no sooner than around this time next year)

I told my wife that I needed to buy the outer banks fully loaded at a build cost of 62,945. In order to tow her 2017 airstream bambi to get out and go camping off grid ,she was excited after that and stopped nagging me about price. Lol.

When my adult son heard I was interested in a Bronco, he told me he would go in with me if I bought a converted van instead (one of these van life type vehicles). He started asking me silly questions like where was I going to take a Bronco that I couldn't get to in a van? My wife looked at him and said good luck changing his mind. (Referring to me.) I took that to mean my purchase has been approved.
