I just used a broomstick to see where the spot on the ground where the camera was aimed... and then I figured out the new angle by aiming the camera at the same spot from the new mounting location on the winch plate. Pretty simple.

For for the driving vid, I went out to verify the camera angle for Baja mode, where the camera stays on at speed. I made sure to do it on a straight road where making turns on pavement wasn't going to mess with the 4x4. I would never recommend using it on a paved road in normal driving conditions.
You can put the truck in Baja mode then engage 2wd with the button. It’s sport mode for the Badlands.

For those running the Rough Country high winch set up how is it holding upper time? Would you go that route again? I keep seeing references to people having issues but I can't seem to find any first hand posts saying they are having issues. It seems to me to be the best option for ACC, sensor (relocation required but easily done) and camera (relocation kit required but easily done) for the money as long as people aren't seeing issues with it over time.

I don't do anything too extreme but do head out solo from time to time so even though I doubt I would get into a situation where I would need a winch I'd like it for peace of mind and thinking about taking advantage of the seasonal deals to get a winch now with the idea of getting the Rough Country mount down the line and getting it put on before next summer.

Has anyone used the Warn winch from the Ford Performance package with the Rough Country mount and camera relocation kit? Any issues? The Warn is probably overkill for what I need but with the 25% discount I and a few points I can get the mount / winch package from Ford for about $800.

The other options I'm considering are the Badlands Apex - hopefully a Black Friday deal to come on it - and the Rough Country 12000s (you can get it for $300 on Amazon right now).

I have the Rough Country high mount, Lobo frame end reinforcement, and Warn VR Evo 12k winch. Never used it in three years. It serves its purpose (peace of mind) but I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve pulled up to something in Moab and the winch mount hits and keeps me from getting on the the obstacle. The Ford mount will do the same. How and where you wheel plays a big role. The low slung mounts will hit in certain conditions. If you dont want to relocate adaptive cruise and other things, or spend a ton of money, your choices are limited. I’ve been pulled off obstacles two times by the same friend in her Jeep.

I’ve learned to modify my off-road driving style (i.e. how I approach an obstacle) to account for the winch stick out and the fact that I’m a four door. So in summary, the RC high mount and a Badlands winch would serve you quite well. Just reinforce the frame ends.

Peace of mind is exactly what I'm thinking of. I'm out in Kansas so planing on spending some time out in Colorado - already been out a couple of times - and then want to check out some of the trails down in Arkansas. Just starting out my off road adventures so nothing too crazy. Appreciate the feedback - I almost asked about the frame reinforcements.
