Windshield Shattered

My Bronco’s windshield randomly shattered today while driving to Bend, Oregon from Corvallis. It looks like a huge rock hit the windshield but I wasn’t following anyone so not sure what would have hit it. Whatever it was caused glass to go flying into the passenger seat.

Haha thanks, yeah I hope I can get it replaced soon as well. I’ve seen some of the horror stories of windshields on here so fingers crossed.
All good, just scared the crap out of me.

Honestly it sounded like a small explosion. Never had something hit the windshield with that much force. Ears were ringing afterwards. The top was back and the windows were down so glad whatever it was hit the windshield and didn’t come through the open windows.

This happened to mine on Tuesday. I talked to my insurance company on Wednesday. Safelite installed a new factory windshield, identical to the old one, Friday afternoon.

Other than having to pay the $250 deductible, it was relatively painless.
