I am waiting on my Big Bend 2.3MT to be built. But, I have a 2020 Ranger with the 2.3. About 38k, pulls a camper and has done everything i ask it with zero issues. As other posters have said, keep up with your oil changes and enjoy.

I haven't heard anything bad about the 2.3. Yes the 2.7 is known to have issues especially with the cam phasers giving up after 15k miles but if anything the 2.3 is known to be more reliable than the 2.7 so I really wouldn't stress about it or let it ruin your Bronco experience
I’m really perplexed. On both accounts. I thought the 2.7 Eco Boost was getting like 250,000+ in the F150??? I thought those were to be bulletproof?

You really should do your research before making claims like these. We all have other things to worry about. WTF
Excuse me! Sorry I ruffled your feathers. As I said, I have issues other than this but it was a conversation starter. A lot of people had opinions and provided a lot of GOOD. Info to myself and many others.

After seeing so many reports of bad 2.3 and the v6 engines on til too and other forums, I am truly beginning to worry. I have a 2.3 BigBend that I love which I have had for 17 months now and only 6500 miles. No issues thus far but everyone is saying 12 to 15k and these engines are knocking, locking up. Just worried after pay over 50k + crazy financing.
I have a 2022 big bend with 24,000 miles, no issues. 2024 in production right now. Don’t worry!

I haven't heard of any issue's on the 2.3 at all. I have a 2.3 in my Big Bend and I have a 22, 2 door Outer Banks with a 2.3 my daughter drive and both are rock solid. Very happy with both broncos!

take care of it and it will take care of you. I just ticked 15k and my 2.3 is still in one fairly quiet piece. :D

It's not the engines and other mechancials, it's the dang computer and it's software that is the real issue with these vehicles.

2.3L has been around since 1984, in some form or fashion. My wife had one in her ford tempo. Of course today’s version is much more capable. The motor is solid. It’s always been a solid little work horse.

I've had my 2.3 BB for 2 years. Not one issue.

Just hit 25,000 miles. No issues with just routine maintenance. I did install a catch can for longevity.

My son is a mechanic in an independent shop and says he’s never had to work on a 2.3 ecoboost. The engine he repairs the most is the 3.6 Jeep V6.
talk about a piece of crap, new oil cooler every 80k miles lol, and other things. Thats why I got a Bronco.
