At the Mecum auction in Chicago this Bronco owner got a bid for $85,000 and turned it down. What would you do?

If someone offered me C$85,000 I would tell them to go fuck their hat but if they offered me US$85,000 I would probably have to sell.

Nope, when (hopefully) I get one someone would have to pry my cold dead body out of it. Money I am ok on, having a Bronco in the garage I am not.

well, lets do the math. This is a FE, and he did special paint - so;
the MSRP was likely 60, the paint another 3, sales tax 4, plus freight to the auction for a total of 68, well then maybe I would turn down that offer as well. There is much short term price speculation going on, but I think we all agree that mid- to long-term, the Bronco will become a commodity subject to the usual oversupply caused by the desire to absorb manufacturing fixed cost.

That's an FE so those are worth a million right? 85k is double my BD build so I'd have no problem selling mine at that price whenever I get it.

I believe a MY21 will be worth way more than that in the future, and these people flipping Broncos now will regret that decision.
If you park it in heated storage and don't put any miles on it, in 20 years you may be right. Maybe. But not assured. New Broncos may never be collectible. By the time they are, everyone will be driving alternate fuel vehicles anyway. (If people are even still actually driving vehicles.)

Also, many people buying Broncos are older. They may be dead before any regrets set in.
