Heading out there early next month! Any recommendations for dispersed camping in that general area?

Long time listener first time caller. Wanted to share my trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone.

We drove 1620 miles roundtrip with our popup camper.

The Bronco: 4door Eruption Green Black Diamond 2.7 Auto.
It did not come with the tow package. After lots of reading through the forums here, I was able to add trailer brake, 7-pin wiring harness, and hitch with few headaches.

The Camper: Forest River Rockwood A122s ESP. popup a-frame great for our small family. loaded weighed in at 2700lbs.

Used 99.1gal of fuel for an avg of 16.35mpg.

Awesome shots. I used to live in CA and miss the geography. I've also been considering smaller travel 'offroad' travel trailers as the boys get a bit older to facilitate easier camping trips.

Since most of the area is national park and heavily trafficked, there isn’t much dispersed camping nearby, particularly closer to Grand Teton. Best bet is in Island Park, ID about 25 miles from West Yellowstone. Maybe even closer to the west entrance on the far side of Hebgen Lake or near Targhee Pass. Also potentially toward Cody, WY on the east side on forest service land, but I’m not as familiar with that area

OK, this is pretty creepy.
I have an EGM color BD Bronco with 2.7 that I had a 7-pin and hitch installed after delivery.
I bought an A-122S in March (though not ESP).
I am leaving in less than 3 weeks to go to..... the Badlands, Glacier, and..... the Tetons and Yellowstone.....

Thanks a ton!!!!
We have a Badlands 2-door 2.3 10-speed and a Rockwood 12 foot (basically the same as OP's, but without the storage on the front). Also about 2700 wet and a tongue of ~300lbs. FWIW, we tow ours with a regular old 16-inch extended hitch. Not much squat (not enough to bother about, anyway) and we've been all over Colorado with it. Engine pulls fine, too. YMMV.
