New Katzkin XT Stone Leather Seats Installed

June 2022 I received my Oxford White 2-door Basesquatch. Since taking delivery my plan was to upgrade the cloth interior with Katzkin leather. While I was researching which colors and design, I was really struggling to find real examples of the Stone Grey XT leather online. I know I wanted the XT leather for kids/dogs, but I wasn’t sure how a two-toned Stone/Black would look in the base Bronco interior.

I decided to go for it and couldn’t be happier with the results. I hope the pictures help others who might be looking to do something similar with the XT leather. This spring I’ll post more pictures with top off (Bronco) and better lighting.

The price quote from Katzkin included installation, but I’m sure you can save some money if you do it yourself.

I have been planing on doing the same thing but I’m not so sure about the fit. Some of the pictures seem to show wrinkles and a somewhat loose fit but it might just be the photos. Are you happy with the result? What is the material on the backside of the the rear seats? My seats spend a lot of time folded over with my dog standing on time. Lastly what was the cost all in?

$1,395 for leather + $600 for install + $400 adder for XT leather - $200 promo discount. So $2,195 before tax.

Yes, I’m very happy with the result. From what I’ve read and heard, any wrinkles will work themselves out over time as the leather tightens. The pictures were taking a day after installation. The material on the back side of the rear seat is similar to what was previously there (a black scratchy felt material). See my other reply post for itemized all in cost.

Love it! The combo color looks amazing with the Oxford White.

I went a different direction with solid color Katzkin installed earlier this week. I’ve never had a brown leather interior before but I like the look with the EG. The arm rest was not supposed to have the diamond stitching but I think I might keep it. The top photo is closest to what the color looks like in person. My phone changed the tone to more of a tan in the two lower photos. I’ll post better pictures in a couple of days when I’m back in town.

Some Ford dealers offer discounts as well. Mine added the Katzkin to the invoice when I picked up my Bronco earlier this month. $1700 + $225 for the arm rest including installation. Tax was extra.

Wow. That looks great and goes really well with the interior. How is the XT leather doing with your dogs? Are there scratch marks from their nails?

What is the XT Leather, how is it different that different than what MnLakeBum did (other than the diamond stitching)?
