Well you always here about the bad luck of getting in wreck leaving the dealer lot....well mine wasn't quite that bad....less than 48 hours and 120 miles got clipped in the driver side rear tire by a spinning jeep compass on a MI freeway. It was still early AM, dark and had turned from rain to big snow flakes...34 F on the climate temp. Had no time to react other than think oh S----T.

We were both able to get out of the spin and on the shoulder without further incident.

Thankfully no injuries and a miracle we both drove away from it.

Drove the 700 additional miles back to NC. Drove perfect.

I think the 37's and beadlock saved me and Braptor....anything less and I am sure the tire bead would have been broken and the end result would have been alot different.

I will have the repair company/dealer go over the alignment but i doubt it is off. this thing is built like a tank.

Still makes me shake thinking about "what could have been" and very grateful for the only minor damage.

37s helped a lot. Those wheels are beadlock capable. You have to buy the beadlock ring and have the tires remounted for them to be beadlocked. Glad it worked out and damage was minimal.

Looks like your damage was confined to the missing flare and some tire scuffing. Very fortunate indeed!

I see bolts all around; looks like a beadlock to me.

Dang man, sorry to see that happened; snow I guess. With the minimal damage, you’ll be up and rolling again in no time.

Like vrtical said, that big ole fender came in handy! :)

Lovely Braptor, so soon time to get it dirty! I plan to drive up to NC to run Hurricane Creek soon and had an adventure back in December on Auger Loop Trail down in Gorges State Park once I crossed the river into the federal land. Goodness. If you plan to take that wide load on that trail, be extra careful. I picked up some new pinstripes. Ha ha!

Gotta love the KO2's. Was rear ended at about 20mph by a tacoma, and my KO2 on the spare tire obliterated its front end, with pretty minor damage to my tailgate.

Glad you're okay and your braptor isn't too damaged.

well after looking more closely at the part- it was hanging by a couple of plugs after the hit so I pulled it off and finished the 800 mile road trip.- and talking to a fellow G6R (Arc)....took off the rear mud flap and popped it back on.....guess they designed with removal/replacement in mind... :)

Only missing a few plugs....will do while I look for new take off....

and the running boards need to come off as well...

thanks for the posts and look forward to scheduled off road adventures.

As others had stated, those are not bead locks. Those are just bolted on beauty rings, those are bead lock capable. I think the bead lock rings for your wheels, are around $250 each And they’re bright aluminum in color

Glad you are OK.

And your Raptor is not equipped with beadlocks.
I’m a newbie to these beadlock capable rims…I see on other threads need to spend another $1100 MSRP to get the beadlock rings …. $1900 option for the rims you would think they would come with them…. Still a stout rim with the beauty rings LOL

Happy that you are ok, and that everything worked out for the rest of the way home.
These Bronco's are not made out of paper, they are pretty stout. Add the armour to them, and yeah, woa to the person who hits you.
