I got an e-mail about this recently and was wondering, do these services cost more than dropping off the vehicle myself?

Sounds cool and all but I barely trust the dealer enough to do an oil change much less long come and pick up my car and drive it there and back. No gracias

I was surprised when my service writer offered to deliver my Bronco and bring it back. This and the mobile tech service is a big plus for me.

I use the valet service. Doesn't cost extra. They arrive and document the condition exterior and interior. You get notifications when they arrive at the dealer. You get notifications when they leave the dealer. I'll continue to use the service.

Yeah. I did it once and it was very convenient if you're working from home that day.

They have always asked if I needed use of their vehicle as a loaner which I have not needed. They drive their vehicle and leave it at my house and take my Bronco to the dealership. Drive the Bronco back to my house and take their vehicle back. Doesn't cost anything extra. It's a nice service.

It's always been offered and depending on what the valet showed up in. Sometimes it is a Sport and others it was an Explorer. I had an additional Bronco so I never bothered with their offer. But each time, their vehicle is left at my house until my Bronco is returned.

I'm only a few miles from the dealer, shuttle service works ok. I asked for a loaner once and got a damn Nissan!
It took 3 visits and 3 months to fix the dead infotainment screen. Hope I won't have any other issues.

They will also pay for Uber/etc. home and back to pick up. Well, at least my dealer does, I'm sure its not anything special for me.

Being in the business I can tell you that this and mobile service are something Ford is holding over our heads with pay plans tied to it at the dealership level. We can get penalized if our percentages aren't a portion of our overall RO (Repair Order) counts. We all have "quotas" that we have to meet so do your local dealer a favor and use it, peoples livelihoods rely on it regardless of how ridiculous the quotas are, it's all about chasing a number.

Sorry but this one personally burns me.
