Sharp turn makes my blinker go to the other direction. Anyone else?

It's happened maybe 6 times. 3 times the same place.

I'll be signaling right and stopped. When I go to turn I have to turn sharp because of the curb, a skinny lane, and other cars. As I straighten out, the blinker turns on blinking to the left.

If I remember and plan ahead, it's fine. But I don't always remember or I need to pull out faster because of traffic.

Anyone else experience this? If so then I'll live with it, but if not I guess I'll have to ask the dealer to look at it. It's a bit annoying.

If you can replicate, ask the dealer service rep to “ride-along” and show ‘em. If nothing else, they’ll at least be able to document.

are you sure you are not catching the turn signal with a coat sleeve or hand when turning the wheel back straight?
I originally considered that when I first got the truck. I chalked it up to being unfamiliar with the vehicle. But it happened again today and I really don't think I'm hitting it.

I've been meaning to test it and try to recreate the situation while playing extra close attention. It just hasn't happened in a while and I forgot about it.

I think I may have encountered this too, but it’s only happened a couple of times, so I figured I was just bumping the turn signal somehow. Now I’m going to have to see if I can make it happen again.

Should have bought a BMW, I don't think they even come with blinkers.

Can't say this has ever happened to me. May need a new multifunction switch.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

So I see I'm not the only one. Thank you.

I'm going to experiment after work to confirm it happens on its own.

This happens constantly to me. If you take a sharp right turn from a stop and straighten out the your left turn signal begins blinking. Pretty annoying if you have music or wind noise because you don't know your signal is on and confusing other drivers.

Well glad someone else is having this issue. It happens pretty regularly to me. Turn right, and then when you straighten up and it should reset, your left blinker is on and you have to manually turn it off. I've thought about bringing it up when I go in for my first oil change.

It's an interesting issue to search for so I missed this thread and started a new one.

But yup, happens to me too. I thought I was just hitting the stalk at first, but nope. I can reproduce it pretty regularly at a turn I make near my home.

I figure it's a combination of mass of the single stalk and gravity making it go past the center detent just enough. And there's a bump where I can reproduce it, so the truck rocks to the left at exactly the same time putting more force behind the stalk moving down.

I have this occasionally when turning into my drive and have just assumed I was hitting the stalk when the wheel was coming back to center. Mine is a quick turn since my crib is right along the main drag through town. Traffic is heavier and I don't want to get plugged in the back from some idiot texting and not watching the road.
